An implant is an artificial replacement for the root of a tooth, which is anchored into the jawbone, and over it, a crown or bridge is placed to replace missing teeth. The implant is made of titanium material.

Placement of the Implant
The placement of the implant is divided into two stages:

Stage 1 – This is the surgical phase during which the dental implant is placed into the jaw. After the implant is placed, the physiological process of the implant bonding with the bone, called osteointegration, begins. This process lasts 3-6 months.

Stage 2 – After the implant has osteointegrated, the second stage begins, which is the prosthetic phase. The implant is opened, and the prosthetic components are mounted onto it.

The prosthetic components are then fixed, and crowns or bridges are placed, which can be made from various materials, such as metal-ceramic, zirconia.
